Let me tell you how the tv show Merlin inspired my current characters for my work in progress werewolf novel During the Blue Hour. I probably talked about this before but my love of Merlin the tv show has spanned many years since the show aired on BBC.

How do you write the important characters and cut out the unnecessary ones in your novel?
THE TV SHOW MERLIN AS THE INSPIRATION AND INFLUENCE BEHIND MY NOVEL’S CHARACTERS .
I’m sure all writers do this. You read a novel or a watch a show and then while writing, some qualities of who you watched or read spills over into your manuscript. Most writers don’t do this intentionally but are therefore influenced by their favorite characters .
SUPPORTING CHARACTER’S BACKSTORY: THE SWING
One of the antagonist of the story and a werewolf who has lived for centuries already. She is not a main pov character . Only a supporting character .
THE ONE CHARACTER THAT ALL THE OTHER CHARACTERS LOVE TO HATE
I never thought when I started writing my novel that I was going to have a favorite character . It’s hard enough just writing the other characters .
